Changing your details in your AGOV account
Description
You can update your details in your (agov.ch/mInstructions
Some of the details in the AGOV account are marked with a green tag showing the text Verified. This data was verified as part of a corresponding identity check, and must be verified again after any change. Changes to unverified data need only be confirmed with a login factor.In this example, the first name, surname and address are verified. The date of birth, gender and nationality are confirmed only if an online service requests a corresponding proof of identity.

The orange tag with the text Pending means that a verification is ongoing. These details cannot be changed until after the pending verification has been completed. In this example, the verification of the first name, surname and address is pending.

Your email address is verified during registration and must be verified again after each change.

If the address verification is not completed within 14 days after initiation, it is automatically cancelled and the verification code is no longer valid. In this case, you must log in again to the online public service with your AGOV login and repeat the address verification.

Verified identity details

The contact details are not verified and can be changed in the AGOV account at any time. You can optionally provide a mobile phone number; this is used exclusively for confirming the video identification.

- You will receive a push notification from AGOV access app, which will be displayed in the status bar on your smartphone or tablet. Click on the push notification to confirm the entries with the AGOV access app.
- The changed data is displayed in the AGOV account and the update of the contact details is confirmed.

Change AHV details ▼
The AHV details are shown only if they were previously entered as part of an identity check. The AHV number and place of birth are checked online against the database of the Central Compensation Office (CCO). Thereafter, the AGOV account will always display the current AHV details from the CCO register with the status Verified.
