How can I activate my AGOV login on a new smartphone or tablet?
Description
You have a new or additional smartphone or tablet on which you want to activate your AGOV login. You want to deactivate the AGOV login on your old device, as you no longer use this mobile device.Instructions
ConditionsTo activate your AGOV login on a new smartphone/tablet, you need your old device or an additional functioning login factor, i.e. a second device with a registered AGOV access app or a security key.
Do not delete the AGOV access app on your old smartphone/tablet until after you have registered the new mobile device in your AGOV account. If you have already deleted the app, or if your old mobile device is no longer available, proceed as described in the What can I do if I no longer have access to my smartphone/tablet or security key? help article.
Activating the AGOV login on a new device
- Install the AGOV access app on the new smartphone/tablet.
- Apple iPhone and iPads with iOS 12 or later: AGOV access app for iOS

e ) AGOV account with your old smartphone/tablet.-

- Go to Login factors.

- Click on Add AGOV access app.

- Read the instructions and click on Continue.

- Confirm transaction.

- You will receive a push notification from AGOV access app, which will be displayed in the status bar on your smartphone or tablet. Click on the push notification to confirm the entries with the AGOV access app.

- Sending the push message for processing on the smartphone.

- Push message in the status bar on an Android smartphone.

- Push message in the notification centre on an iPhone.
If no push notification is displayed, check whether push notifications are enabled for the AGOV access app (see help article: Why doesn't the AGOV access app receive push notifications?). -
- On your new smartphone/tablet, open the installed AGOV access app and use it to scan the displayed QR code.

- Open the AGOV access app on your smartphone and scan the following QR code.

- Scan the QR code to register for the AGOV access app.
Select the preferred authentication method on your new smartphone/tablet. This selection depends on the device settings: PIN, fingerprint or Face ID. Please note that the PIN is only valid for the AGOV access app. Make a note of it for later use with the AGOV login.-
- Select an authentication method.
Successful registration is confirmed on the smartphone or tablet.-
- You have been successfully registered.

- Registration of the new smartphone/tablet is confirmed. End the process by clicking on Continue.

- Registered device name, can be changed in the AGOV access app.

- The new smartphone is listed under "Login factors". You can now use it for AGOV logins.

- Smartphone successfully added as new AGOV login factor.
