Recovery link not working

Description

You started the recovery of your AGOV account and clicked on the recovery link in the email. Instead of the account recovery starting, you were prompted to re-enter your email address. This happens repeatedly with each new link.

Instructions

The problem only occurs with certain email programs, such as Gmail. For security reasons, these email programs check links for hidden phishing attacks before opening. The security check disables the recovery link and renders it invalid. AGOV therefore restarts the account recovery process.

You can solve the problem by copying the link from the email, pasting it into a new browser window and then opening it.
