What are the requirements for registering in AGOV?

iOS from version 16.4 or Android from version 11 – on smartphone or tablet
The screen lock must be enabled on the smartphone
Internet-enabled computer with Windows or macOS
AGOV access app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store
AGOV access app cannot be run on rooted devices or on system environments with modified operating systems
A security key can be used as an alternative or in addition to the AGOV access app.
Email address:
- For a private AGOV account, we recommend a private email address that can preferably be used on a long-term basis and independently of an employer or organisation.
- For a Business Account (agov.ch/biz), an appropriate business email address is used. The email address is verified. Once the Business declaration has been completed successfully, the email domain remains permanently linked to this Business Account.
Email addresses containing umlauts or special characters are not supported.
Some of the authorities' online services require personal proof of identity, for which you will need an official identity document (passport, identity card or residence permit).
