This status information refers exclusively to the availability of the authentication service of the Swiss authorities AGOV and not to the availability of the connected target applications. For the latter, the authorities may publish notifications regarding target applications below.

As of 22 April 2026, Android devices running version 10 or older will no longer be permitted for the use of AGOV. These devices have not received security updates for several years. Known vulnerabilities in the operating system remain permanently unpatched and may be deliberately exploited. This creates a concrete risk that login credentials may be intercepted or personal information compromised. According to the consistent assessment of cybersecurity experts, operating systems that are no longer supported are unsuitable for security-critical applications. To protect your digital identity, the exclusion of outdated systems is mandatory. Please register an up-to-date device in good time or use a security key.

On Android devices running Android 15 or 16, errors may occur when registering an AGOV account if you are using an outdated version of the AGOV access app. 
A new version of the app, which resolves this issue, is already available on the Google Play Store. If you encounter any problems, please update to the latest version of the AGOV access app. Thank you.
